Details: Where to Find the Engine Model-Type-Code The model-type-code is a series of 12 characters designated to identify the model number, engine type, and the engine’s code number (date). Several parts, especially the vacuum hoses, look similar but have different specifications, so it’s important that you check the exact replacement part number on the parts diagram for your specific engine model.
