Details: Avocado Huggers are an innovative and inventive way to keep your avocados fresh longer and protect them from spoiling. Easily preserve avocados for later use with these reusable silicone covers. To use, simply push the leftover half into the appropriately sized hugger and place it in the fridge until you’re ready to use the rest-a tight seal locks in moisture and prevents exposure to circulating air, helping prevent spoiling and dehydration. Slip the narrow end of the avocado into the hugger, then pull the flexible hugger up over the back until the cut half is completely enclosed. Thanks to a reversible “pit pocket,” avocado halves fit both with and without their pits. While avocados are perishable and aging is a natural process, it is our endeavor to delay it by helping you preserve your leftover halves. How Long Will My Avocado Last? Avocado Huggers️ do a fantastic job of protecting and preserving your half avocados. We are super proud of our design and love using them in our homes. Unfortunately we are not able to promise you “avocado immortality”. Nobody can do that. Avocados start their ripening process after being picked (in most cases) and once that process starts it is not something anyone can reverse or stop. When you cut your avocado open, you are exposing the fruit to air and effectively putting the spoiling process on fast forward. Our Avocado Huggers help prevent that acceleration by protecting the fruit and we do a great job of that. But we need to be clear that we can’t stop the natural ripening process of an avocado.
