In Caillou: Magic Playhouse, kids help Caillou and friends discover hidden treasure in a fun-filled adventure! The play begins with Caillou’s babysitter, as she creates a scavenger hunt in the house. Children choose from four exciting themes and then set out on an adventure through the house with Caillou, his cat, Gilbert, his sister, Rosie, and all his friends.
Kids search the house room by room, clicking on items to find the hidden treasure. As they succeed, kids can watch their treasure collection grow. Along the way, they’ll find eight laugh-out-loud activities and challenging puzzles. And, for a change of pace, kids can print fun projects to take with them or even make snacks with Caillou.
Designed to build children’s preschool and kindergarten skills, Caillou: Magic Playhouse matches a unique set of learning activities with each of the title’s four themes. In case you’re not familiar with Caillou, he’s an appealing little four- year-old boy who stars in the animated PBS kids’ show of the same name. This CD extends the TV show experience to the computer in a very pleasant way. Children join Caillou on a treasure hunt through his house. As they explore, kids find clickables, seven multilevel games and four printable activities. They’ll also see full screen video clips from the television show. Games are acceptable but quite standard, and include block puzzles, tap that tune, matching, and silly stories.
