The neoprene material is covered with soft black fabric. Underneath is an elastic opening for a snug secure fit. Existing armrest pads should allow these covers to stretch completely over and around the tips. If needed, momentarily loosening your existing armrest attachment screws may help to optimize installation of the covers. Non-removable upholstered armrests may be compatible by pulling and flossing the elastic under one tip at a time. It is usually easiest to hook the covers over one end, then stretch them over the other end. These armrest covers are very durable and the materials can handle tight stretches.
