Q: Can I move the fastener lock without pressing the button?A: That’s not the correct way to use this product. If you drag the laces anyway with the cord locking, the friction will damage your laces and those extra thin laces may slide under the clamp disc, and you will have to reinstall the lock.
Q: How to put these on shoelaces?A: Press the button down and hold it while threading the laces though the holes on the lock. Once the laces are through, release the button to lock. The cord lock will keep your laces in place. It’s also recommended to make a simple knot in the end of the laces so you won’t accidentally slide them out of the lock.
