Details: The Dexter-Russell 3” Providence-Style Oyster Knife – Sani-Safe Series (S126) offers a great tool for splitting oyster shells and prying them open. This type of knife has a narrow slightly rounded tip although this product in particular has a more pointed end than other types of oyster knives. The straight flat blade is made from high-carbon steel and it is easier to spit oyster shells than using thicker ones. The shorter blade on this model provides a bit more of a manageable angle as well. The contoured handle is coated in Grip-Tex for a slip-free grip.
