Details: SeamerMate 5 OZ Squeeze Tube – Gray NO ADDITIONAL TOOLS NEEDED just puncture the seal inside the nozzle and you are now ready to use the sealant. Amerimax SeamerMate is a single component, extremely durable, flexible tripolymer sealant that forms a watertight seal in small joints and narrow seams. SeamerMate can be applied under any weather condition, even through standing water or on oily surfaces. Guaranteed adhesion to metal, glass, vinyl, brick, stone, concrete, wood, plastic and asphaltic materials. Basic uses include sealing aluminum, galvanized and vinyl clad gutters, including end caps and miters. Also seals joints in storm windows, awnings, vents, flashings, thresholds and other narrow seams. For best results: 1. Surface should be as clean and dry as possible 2. SeamerMate can be applied at any temperature. Where temperature is below 40 F, application will be easier if tubes are conditioned to room temperature 3. Apply sealant liberally to seams 4. If painting is desired, allow for a 24 hour cure 5. Clean up with lacquer thinner, xylene or toluene before sealant cures. Cured sealant may be removed with a sharp tool or sandpaper. Observe listed caution when using flammable or toxic solvents. Note: Not recommended for joints larger than 1/4” x1/4” Do not apply on polystyrene foam Regarding Gutters: On older gutters, remove any old sealant, dry the surface and sand it clean, then apply sealant; on new gutter installations, clean off any lubricants that were used in the fabrication of the gutter off surface to be sealed, to do this use soapy water or Windex and then lightly rough up the surface with sandpaper or wire brush, then apply sealant.
