Details: WoodRiver’s Snake Scale Synthetic Fibre Board Knife Scales are an excellent choice for wet environment applications such as a hunting knife, machete, or kitchen knife. Synthetic Fibre Board-based material is made from cotton canvas that is layered and covered in phenol resin prior to being compressed and baked. This process produces a dense material that is very hard, durable, and water-resistant. During the shaping process the scale material will take on the appearance of snake scales. Synthetic Fibre Board material can be shaped by using files, rasps, and sandpaper. Scales measure 9mm x 2″ x 5″.
