Details: Star Singer Slide ceramic “Desert” slide for guitar, medium. Handmade in Glastonbury, UK. Each slide is characterised by its own unique organic crackle glaze model. Designed with an optimal ratio of weight to thickness, for good resonance while maintaining agility. The high gloss lacquered finish produces a smooth and silent glide on the strings. At the end of the production process it is baked in an over at 1200 °C. The slides are handmade in stone, for an extremely sturdy and durable product. The warm and bright tone falls pleasantly somewhere between glass and metal slides. Designed to sound great on acoustic, electric and cigar box guitars. Nice bag for safe storage included. Star Singer sliders are made by Dolfinn Ruby Star Singer (the maker’s name – a story for another time perhaps) in a small shed just outside Glastonbury, transformed into a small and intimate slide production workshop. Over the past seven years, Dolfinn has perfected and optimised his slide creation process, learning from his father the complex crackle glaze technique. A super precise and time-consuming process.
